The creation of PSIRRI ONLINE is an initiative by the people who work or maintain a business in the PSIRRI area, one of Athens' most historic and beautiful neighbourhoods. An initiative which aims to promote the cultural, artistic and commercial value of an area which is being rapidly being transformed into one of the most attractive locations of the Greek capital, mainly through the efforts of the people who live and work in this landmark neighbourhood.

The purpose of this website is to give every business in the Psirri area the opportunity to be a part of the first comprehensive presentation of Psirri on the Internet, thus contributing further to the development and improvement of this beautiful old Athenian neighborhood. Working behind the scenes to bring you this website, are the people of EPISTROFI Ltd., who are based in the center of Psirri in two old manor homes. These homes, which house the Epistrofi Gallery have been beautifully renovated and provide visitors a vehicle to travel into the past.

So what is Psirri like? Dubbed the "Soho of Athens", Psirri is a veritable kaleidoscope of colours, sounds and everchanging images. Artisans practicing their centuries-old art blend easily with the throngs of young people who flock to the cool cafes that line the pedestrian walkways. Colourful antique shops display their wares as readily as their owners smile to the passer-by. Truth be told, Psirri has a timeless quality, one that is seemingly oblivious to the bustling metropolis that surrounds it. Comfortable in its history, cheerful in disposition, Psirri is -not suprisingly- all things to all people.
